DoodleDesk Artwork Licence

This is the licence that comes with every illustration pack and every single-artwork licence, covering all 5,321 drawings in the library.

When you buy a pack or license an artwork, DoodleDesk Private Limited grants you a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to use the artwork under the terms below. The copyright stays with the artist; what you buy is a broad right to use the work, not ownership of it.

The licence is granted to one person or one company. If your team needs it, the company licence covers everyone in that company. It does not extend to a parent company, subsidiary or separate legal entity, and it cannot be transferred to someone else without our written agreement.

You may

  • Use the artwork in unlimited personal projects, forever.
  • Use it in unlimited commercial projects: marketing, packaging, apps, books, merchandise, presentations, signage.
  • Use it in work you make for clients, and in work you sell.
  • Recolour, crop, combine, animate and otherwise adapt the artwork to fit your project.
  • Use it worldwide, in print and digital, with no cap on print run or impressions.
  • Use it without crediting the artist. Credit is welcome, not required.

You may not

  • Resell, sub-license, share or redistribute the files themselves, as files, in any form. This includes putting them in another asset pack, template kit or stock library.
  • Register the artwork, or anything substantially derived from it, as a trademark or logo where that would stop others using it.
  • Use the artwork as the main product where the artwork itself is what is being sold with little else added, such as selling a print or a phone case that is only the drawing.
  • Use the artwork to train a generative machine-learning model. That needs a separate data licence, which we sell through SVGZO.
  • Use the artwork in anything unlawful, hateful, or that presents a person or group in a degrading way.

The rest of it

Refunds

The packs are digital files delivered by download, so a purchase cannot be returned once the files are with you. If a download fails, a file is corrupt, or the pack is not what the page described, write to us and we will fix it or refund you.

What the files contain

Every illustration ships as an editable vector SVG and as a transparent PNG at 2048 px on the long edge. A small number of drawings have lettering as part of the artwork; those are flagged in the pack index, and in the SVG the lettering is editable like anything else.

Ownership and warranty

The artwork is original work by Bhavya Doshi. We warrant that we have the right to license it to you. Beyond that, the files are provided as they are, and our total liability under this licence is limited to what you paid for it.

If you need something else

Training a model is the common one, and it has its own home: SVGZO sells the datasets and the licences written for it. For extended rights, exclusivity, or any other use this licence does not cover, write to hello@thedoodledesk.com and we will quote for it. Commissions are handled on the licensing page.

Governing law

This licence is governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Mumbai have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it.

This licence covers the artwork. Use of the site and the DailyU app is covered by the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy.
