We spend so much of our lives in our heads. We occupy it with what has already happened, stress it with what is happening and make it anxious about what might happen in the future. Be it handling a situation, meeting a deadline or simply carrying out the day-to-day activities of life, there is nothing that our mind doesn’t help us with. And for doing all of these, it deserves appreciation. But for doing all of these, it also deserves care.
Think of life like a machine that is working 24*7. And instead of taking the load off it, you keep loading it with stress, worries and baggage. It is then obvious that this machine will at some point reach a saturation point and have a breakdown. However, when we take care of it at regular intervals, the saturation point doesn’t come. This care can include taking a break when the mind asks us to. It can also include listening to the signs that our mind gives us when we reach a stage of burnout, instead of ignoring them. And last but not the least, it also includes doing what recharges, relaxes and rejuvenates it.
When all of this is taken into account, our mind becomes happy which is turns create a happy life for us. We spend so much of our lives in our heads and only we can make it a happy place for us to live in.
